Lost Angels by Loren Rhoads and Brian Thomas has popped up on my Amazon recommended list for, forever. But for whatever reason, I choose something else to read. But I got the ARC of the second book, Angelus Rose from Net Galley so I figured it’s time.

Lost Angels Summary

Lorelei is a succubus living her best life in Los Angeles. Loving the nightlife, partying, devouring souls of the damned. When a new challenge arrived in the form of an angel. Oh if she could seduce the angel into becoming one of the fallen. That would make her boss happy, and accomplish a task no other known succubus has. Challenge accepted.

Azaziel had fallen in love with Lorelei from the moment he saw her. Not the first time this angel has fallen in love and bent the rules. But a succubus isn’t exactly an ideal girlfriend for an angel. His plan to have his cake and eat it too……. shove a mortal girl’s soul in Lorelei so she can experience what love feels like and hope that will make her a little less evil.

Realizing too late that this mission was not working. Lorelei is in more trouble now than ever. Not only did she fail to cause Azaziel to fall. Now she has a soul stuck inside her and needs to get it out before Heaven and Hell come for her.

So what is a succubus to do with a soul stuck inside her? Find an exorcist and fast.

My Star Rating Explained…….

Lost Angels Review

Not a romance. This book will not give you the warm fuzzies of a lover’s romance it actually gets pretty dark and teetering toward erotica. it would be pretty disappointing if a story written about a succubus turned out to be a mushy love story. But is fast-paced and captivating. I could not put it down. It was well thought out with the intricate politics being played.

I liked this book a lot more than I thought I was going to. The reason why was because the whole book I was thinking, how are they going to get out of this alive. The book was a solid thrilling, dark, paranormal read.
